North West Auctions held its popular monthly collective machinery sale which saw 1855 lots entered for the sale with nationwide interest in the sale, alongside an ever-increasing interest from overseas buyers.

An impressive line-up of 18 modern and vintage tractors were a feature of this sale, with 16 finding new homes. A Massey Ferguson 399 direct from a local farm found several admirers and sold to another local farmer at £12,800. A John Deere 3650 achieved £9800, a Massey Ferguson 250 tractor sold at £3900 and an Iseki compact tractor c/w loader at £3800. A very rare Fendt 2 with side mounted finger bar mower sold at £350, with a David Brown 2WD Tractor selling at £2900. Several plant items saw a New Holland skid steer sell at £15,400, a Massey Ferguson 50B digger at £2100 and a Benford 3T dumper at £1700.

A wide selection of vehicles were offered for sale with a top price of £9500 achieved for a Land Rover Defender County with a Land Rover 110 selling at £4900. A Volkswagen Caddy (2009 plate) sold at £3000 and a Mitsubishi Shogun LWD achieved £1850.

Farm machinery saw a high demand for seasonal items with a Claas Liner 2800 rake achieving £7500, Lely Lotus tedder £4200, Watson land roller £4200, Major topper £3400, 8T silage trailer £2400, Claas single rota rake £1950, Kuhn rake £1900, John Deere mower conditioner £1800.

A massive entry of 42 trailers of all shapes and sizes sold to £5100 for an Ifor Williams 12ft livestock trailer, £3000 for a Marshall 21ft trailer, £2500 14ft GE livestock trailer, £2500 8ft tipping trailer, £2000 for a 30ft low loader trailer, £1600 for a 10ft Ifor Williams plant trailer and £1450 for an Ifor Williams 505 Horse Trailer.

Other items of interest included a Yamaha ATV achieving £4600, 6 cylinder generator £2500, tractor driven wood chopper £2500, £2500 for a mobile sheep shower, £1550 Parmiter post knocker, cherry picker £980 and Keenan feeder £920.

Several ground maintenance items were offered for sale with a Kubota compact tractor selling at £3500, a Kubota RTV900 £2400, Kubota GZD mower £2000, Kubota ride on mower £1756, Westwood ride on mower £1700, Browns lawn aerator £1500.

Over 1200 small lots were sold with a large offering of workshop tools and equipment selling to £380 for a scaffolding tower, £370 Wadkin lathe and £280 for a cement mixer. Gardening items sold to £310 for stone gate posts, £210 for a crate of sandstone paving, £180 petrol lawn mowers and £165 for a garden rotator.
